Invisalign Invisible Braces

Metal braces are typically the first thing that comes to mind when people think about orthodontic care. Orthodontics today are much more than braces. The goal of orthodontic treatment is to consider what has caused teeth to be in their present positions and to correct misalignment while also considering potential future movement, depending on the age of the patient. When straightening teeth, your dentist will be mindful of existing or potential bite issues such as overbite.

Invisalign aligners for a straighter smile

Years of research and development have brought innovative orthodontic options to the dental office. Dr. Sandeep has completed the necessary training to provide Invisalign orthodontic treatment. Invisalign is one of a few recognized aligner methods, appealing for the absence of metal brackets and wires. Aligners are made from durable plastic that is so clear and light that they are barely noticeable when you speak or smile.

How Invisalign Works

The Invisalign treatment process begins with a thorough consultation and examination. If this system is appropriate for your needs, we will send x-rays, photographs, impressions, and a prescription for your aligners to the Invisalign lab. Here, an accurate 3-Dimensional replica of your teeth is made. Using this model, the treatment team can map out the entire treatment. Before aligners are completed, the treatment plan is consolidated into a computerized representation. We are able to view the entire transformation of your smile with you before you begin treatment. The mapping technology used to create the computerized animation is involved in the creation of your aligners.

Using Invisalign

There are four phases to the Invisalign aligner therapy. During each, you will wear a set of aligners for a period of three weeks. In between phases there will be a short period of time that allows for flexibility and control. Aligners, like braces, work through consistent, gentle force. They must be worn at all times other than when drinking and eating or for oral hygiene. Thanks to their discreet design, aligners do not intrude on your daily routine. With each set of aligners, the smile moves into a straighter, healthier, more attractive state. Throughout the treatment process, we will schedule periodic check-ups to evaluate progress. Every smile is different. Full results may take from one to two years to achieve, depending on the severity of misalignment.
